Amy Teoh

M.S., CCC-SLP

Amy is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with special interests in working with clients who are deaf and hard-of-hearing. She has extensive experience working with children with cochlear implants and hearing aids and their families, using Auditory-Verbal and auditory-based techniques to promote spoken language. She has additional experience with speech production and phonetic transcription. Her manuscript, “Transcribing the Speech of Children with Cochlear Implants: Clinical Application of Narrow Phonetic Transcription”, was published in the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology (Teoh & Chin, 2009). She obtained her BA in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997 and MS in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001. Amy joined Pediatric Speech and Language Services, Inc. in 2008. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, AG Bell, and NC AG Bell.
