Cassie is a CCC-Speech-Language Pathologist with special interests in working with clients who are language delayed, deaf and hard of hearing, and children with Autism. Her interest in the field originated from childhood when her younger brother was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss and a language delay. He began therapy where he learned to use his hearing aids to listen and develop spoken language. Cassie was immediately involved in his therapy and has had a passion to partner with families and guide them on their journey ever since. Cassie obtained her BS and MS from Marshall University in West Virginia. She has experience providing services within the school system, at a preschool for the deaf and hard of hearing, within a clinic, and in the home setting. She has been serving children with various communication disorders, including hearing loss, autism, and language delays, within the home environment and school system. She strives for sessions with high parent involvement that keep kids engaged and motivated. She also has experience working with children with Autism and is trained in behavior management techniques. Cassie has experience with sign language and PECS. She is currently working towards her LSLS Auditory Verbal certification and started working with Pediatric Speech and Language Services in October 2017.


Angie is a certified NC Teacher of the Hearing Impaired who specializes in teaching children who are hearing impaired and their parents have chosen the auditory-oral or auditory verbal philosophy. She obtained her BS in Deaf Education from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1999 and her M.A.T. in Early Childhood Education from Salem College in 2006. She has a license to teach B-K, preschool, Hearing Impaired K-12 and EC in language, math, social studies in grades K-6. Angie has taught in a variety of classroom settings and programs. She has taught in early intervention, the CCCDP preschool teacher, and public schools. She has helped train many language facilitators and teachers in language and vocabulary development and how to elicit these targets. Angie joined Pediatric Speech and Language Service in 2011. Angie lives in north Charlotte and works in schools throughout the Charlotte region. Angie is a member of Educators of the Deaf Association and AG Bell.


M.A., CCC-SLP
Elyse is a Speech-Language Pathologist currently completing her clinical fellowship year with PSLS. She has special interests with children who are deaf or hard of hearing from birth to school age. She obtained her BFA in Acting from Elon University in 2008 and an MA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2018. Elyse spent her last semester of graduate school doing her clinical placement with PSLS and joined the team full-time upon her graduation. She also teaches drama through Drama Kids of the Triad in GCS elementary schools and visits different facilities with her registered therapy dog, MacGyver, to facilitate language.
